Food sensitivities
What are food sensitivities? They are slow acting, and accumulative responses to foods that your immune system is reacting and responding to with your immune system producing higher than normal IgG immune cells. At times it can be difficult to make the connection to a food sensitivity to a symptom as there can be a time delay of a few days.
A food intolerance is when your body lacks an enzyme needed to breakdown a certain food. Intolerances commonly run in families.
On the other hand an allergic response to a food occurs instantaneously with the body producing large amounts of histamine and requires an Epipen to avoid the life threatening inflammatory response.
If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms you may have a food sensitivity response:
Abdominal Pain or IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
Constipation
Diarrhea
Joint pain
Reflux
Stomach pain
Nausea
Skin rashes and outbreaks
Increased mucous secretion or respiratory infections
Anxiety and mood swings
Allergies
A food sensitivity or intolerance may be the cause of this. Working out what foods you may be reacting to can be difficult to do and often involves a lot of guesswork without the right testing.
Using a variety of stress tests for allergy and sensitivity screening takes the uncertainty out of this. You may have sensitivities to foods that you aren’t even aware are affecting your health, made more cryptic by the often-delayed time of reaction.
To help identify any food allergies there are several, non-invasive techniques available which are also suitable for use with children. I will assess and determine which is the best possible option for you or your family member to ensure your body restores health
